A warm welcome message from our School Director Ms Jenny Vlachou-Dooley

Dear Students and Parents,

As you may know, this year our school is celebrating 51 years of dedication and distinction in language learning. This something that we are extremely proud of and I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to our wonderful school, where we will have many amazing activities and events this year to celebrate this fantastic achievement.

For the little ones who are starting their journey in English for the first time – welcome! I promise you that we will do our best to make your first steps with this wonderful language the start of an exciting adventure of fun and knowledge!

For those new students of different levels who are continuing their voyage of discovery, let me assure you that learning with us will be easy and stimulating as you will learn in a safe modern environment with cutting edge digital tools and the latest methodological developments.

For our regular and loyal students, we are ecstatic to see you all again and can’t wait to embark on our new quest for academic and social knowledge and excellence.  I promise you that we are planning even more interesting community and informative events for this school year also.

And last but not least, for our adult learners and our students’ parents, who are entrusting us with their own language education or that of their children – let me reassure you that we will work tirelessly and vigilantly throughout the year to help you reach your goals and dreams. Much as we have been for the past fifty one years, with the same passion and enthusiasm as we had on our very first day! A pledge that we maintain by monitoring both the progress of our students, and the quality of teaching that all of our staff provide. We will always endeavor to deliver the very best language teaching that money can buy.

As you all know by now, our lessons will start on Saturday September 30th this year. I would like to ask all students to be at their designated schools at least ten minutes before their lessons start, with their schedules in hand. This will allow us to assist you in finding your classrooms. In addition, I would like to remind you that all the students must have all their books with them from the first lesson.

The hundreds of names of students who have successfully passed the various international language exams in the previous school year, as always, can be seen on the school noticeboards. We look forward to the day when we can proudly see all of your names joining them, as we are sure that together we will achieve all of the goals we set. You will also notice that this year we have a new “Hall of Fame” board in the school waiting areas. Here we display the names of the best students for each language and level to congratulate them for their outstanding academic achievement.

Lastly I would like to congratulate all the members of the cheetah team for their glorious victory, while at the same time encouraging the other two teams to try for the school cup this coming year. You all know the rules of the digibook game by now, work hard to complete your assignments and your missions, study books from the library, earn your badges and your stars and make your team the best they can be! All our staff and your team captains will be ready to help you in any way to reach this goal.

May we all have a happy and productive school year.

The Director of Studies, Jenny Vlachou-Dooley
